Congress sources stated on Thursday that Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to the Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. They mentioned that she is in good health and is likely to be discharged on Friday. Sonia Gandhi turned 78 years old in December 2024. Recently, her health has been stable, and she is receiving better treatment under the supervision of a medical team.
On Thursday morning, it was reported that Sonia Gandhi was brought to the hospital at 8:30 AM due to stomach pain. She is currently under medical observation, and routine medical tests have been conducted. It is expected that she will be discharged from the hospital on Friday. Congress workers are expressing concern following her hospitalization. She had also been unwell last December, which prevented her from attending the Congress Working Committee meeting held in Belagavi, Karnataka, under the name 'Nav Satyagraha Baithak.'
Previously, Sonia Gandhi had been admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital multiple times for treatment due to health issues. Currently, at 78 years old, she had previously recovered from cancer. In 2016, she collapsed during a roadshow in Varanasi and was quickly rushed to the Army Hospital in Delhi. From there, she was transferred to Sir Gangaram Hospital, where she recovered after a few days of treatment in the ICU. Doctors have stated that her health is currently stable.
Several prominent leaders in the Congress Party have expressed concern over Sonia Gandhi's health after her hospitalization. They posted messages on social media wishing for her quick recovery. Not only Congress leaders but leaders, supporters, and fans from all parties have inquired about her health. In the past, Sonia Gandhi's health issues have been a major topic of discussion in political circles.
